Group Reporting Accountant (FTC)
Contract Type: FTC until end of April 2027
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 35 hours per week
Location: Winnersh, RG41 5TP - Office based contract with hybrid working options
The Group Reporting Accountant is responsible for supporting the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely group financial reporting. The role exists to ensure consistency, compliance, and integrity of financial information across all entities within the organisation. This position plays a key role in the consolidation process and external reporting requirements. The role collaborates closely with regional finance teams to ensure alignment with group accounting policies. It also supports the continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems.
You will support the consolidation and reporting processes while ensuring alignment with accounting standards. You will contribute to improving reporting efficiency and transparency across the organisation.
What you'll be doing:
Support the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidated financial statements, leveraging SAP BPC as the primary consolidation tool.
Assist with the group consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g. IFRS/GAAP) and internal policies.
Review submissions from regional entities to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Support the preparation of statutory accounts and external financial reports.
Assist with audit processes, including preparation of supporting documentation and responding to auditor queries.
Maintain and update group accounting policies and reporting guidelines.
Analyse financial results and provide insights into group performance.
Support balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of key accounts.
Collaborate with finance teams across the organisation to resolve reporting issues.
Contribute to the development and improvement of consolidation and reporting systems.
Support the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
Assist in strengthening internal controls and governance processes.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required by senior management.
